The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
